Kabsa rice (Arabic rice)

 


Today, I'm sharing with you a Middle Eastern dish. That is very famous in so many Arabic countries and considered a stable Saudi Arabia dish called Kabsa. It is a rice based dish that can be made with chicken, meat or even fish. Kabsa is like the Arab version of Biryani and much similar to Mandi a Yemeni dish. 

                           I hope to try it.


Things you need

  • 2 cups of basmati (take as much rice as you like and add more)
  • 2 tbs of olive oil
  • 1 tbs of butter
  • 3-4 cloves
  • Belip 3-4 pieces of cinnamon 2-3
  • A little cardamom
  • 1 cup of finely chopped salt
  • 4-5 cloves of finely chopped garlic
  • 2tbs of tomato paste
  • 1 chopped carrot
  • 2tbs of coriander powder
  • White 1 / 2tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Just enough chicken stock (or dissolve 3-4 cubes of Nor soup with water)
  • A bit of plums and nuts
  • A little pepper powder
  • Just enough of the usual sliced ​​chicken. 500g



 How to make


 First put a pan on the stove and heat the butter and olive oil together.

 Then add cinnamon / cardamom / cloves and let it fry for a while. Then add the chopped salt and let it fry till light brown.

 Then add the chopped chicken, stir well and let it fry for about 5 minutes (close the lid of the jar).

 Then add chopped garlic / carrot / bay leaf and mix well.

 Then add some tomato paste and tomato sauce and mix well.

 Then add coriander powder / white powder and salt to taste and mix well.

 Finally add the washed rice / cashew plums / pepper powder.


         If you want, you can add two chopped tomatoes to the salt and fry it. Also, boil the chicken and take it obaked.n put it in a cake tray. It can also be baked.
