In Greece, this is a type of confectionery that you can enjoy at every festival, as well as often. Also in Greece these are also known as honey donuts.
Ingredients:
Ingredients for making Lokumades Mixture:
Mild warm water (slightly hot water) ml. 100
Ml of slightly warm milk. 150 (Only water can be used instead of milk)
East gram 5
Tablespoons of sugar01
225 grams of bread flour
Teaspoons of vanilla01
Teaspoons of cinnamon powder01
50 g of slightly crushed walnuts (you can also use something like roasted cashews or ground cashews instead.)
Salt to taste
Oil wood to bind deeply. 1 or 2
Ingredients for the honey mixture:
01 cup of honey (Kitul honey can also be used. The taste varies a bit, but it tastes good.)
Teaspoons of vanilla01
Cups of sugar d
Cups of water d
A slice of lemon about 2 inches long
A piece of yellow orange peel about 2 inches
A large piece of cinnamon bark
A little cinnamon powder
How to make:
Add a little warm water, yeast and sugar, mix well and leave until the yeast foams. (Yeast must be active)
Mix well with the sifted bread flour, vanilla, warm milk, cinnamon powder, salt and yeast mixture. Mix until very soft so that there are no lumps of flour. This is a slightly sticky liquid mixture.
Leave the mixture in a warm place for about an hour or an hour and a half. (Yeast stir well until mixture is doubled)
In the meantime, prepare the seasoning mixture. Put honey (Kitul honey), water, lemon peel, orange peel, cinnamon peel on a pan and spoon over high heat until sugar is dissolved. Once the sugar has dissolved, reduce the heat and set aside until the pan is slightly thickened, about 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a wide-mouthed saucepan or deep-frying pan. (It would be great to have a Vok Pan.)
All you have to do is make balls out of the double Lokumades mixture and fry them in oil. It was a little difficult to teach me how to make balls, so I took some photos. Look at that.
Put Lokumades in hot oil and cook till golden brown. (Put a lot of bigmades in a systematic way without spending too much on the tray)
Finally, pour the hot melted honey over the bound lochumades and sprinkle with the walnuts and the remaining cinnamon powder and serve hot. Try it and see how delicious it is ..
