As soon as one hears the name 'Muruthan Bhat', one understands that now we are talking about Muruthan rice which is a holy milk rice which is usually offered to temples or deities. So neither the recipe nor the policies apply.
Ingredients:
1kg of white raw rice
About 5 cups of cow's milk or condensed coconut milk (about 2 cups of condensed milk / 1180ml)
About 150g of green peas
About 200g of cashews
About a jaggery bag (finely grated)
About 75g of raisins / raisins
3-4 cardamoms / cardamom (crush)
A piece of cinnamon bark about 1 inch
1-2 cloves
3-4 tablespoons of ghee or butter (about 50g)
Salt (to taste)
How to make:
First soak the cleaned green peas for at least 5-6 hours. (It is best to soak the night before.)
Then wash the rice thoroughly, clean it and put it in the pot.
Add the pre-soaked green peas, add enough water to boil the rice and green peas, add a pinch of salt and set aside. (It doesn't matter if the water is a little higher.)
Bring the rice and green peas to a boil, reduce the heat to low and add cow's milk / condensed coconut milk, cashews, grated jaggery, raisins, cardamom, cinnamon sticks and cloves and cook from time to time.
When the milk is about to dry, reduce the heat to low and add butter / ghee and cook until the milk thickens.
important:
If desired, about 150g of bottles of honey and about 150g of dates, which have been removed from the seeds and washed and cut into pieces, can be collected during the milk collection.
